Hi Everyone... :)
Been wondering... just who out there has an Amiga setup in the most unusual or most curious case. I don't mean an off the shelf PC tower or such like, what I mean is a case that you have had to build or customize yourself to stuff all your Amiga goodies into. :)
I'll start with mine. I built it myself from wood (yes I did say wood !!!) well MDF to be more precise then spray painted it silver. I couldn't find the space for one of those orrible PC cases that are so deep you need an extension built onto your house to fit one in. :)
I don't claim it to be cool looking or the most amazing case ever, but I do think it may be a wee bit curious and unusual.
It holds my main miggy and is my most used Amiga. It measures Width=26cm, Height=44cm, Depth=25.5cm
A1200 Blizzard060/PPC603 60Mhz/240Mhz / 256Mb RAM / 2 x 500GB HDs / 2 x DVD Burners / FASTATA MKIII / Cocolino Wireless Mouse / Custom built Amplifier
Now... who else out their has a curious or unusual Amiga case that they would like to share some pics of... :D
(or am I just curious & unusual !!!) :biglaugh:
Cheers :drink:

Easily that would be the G1200 Sir. Seen here:

Wood. It's really nice. But doesn't look very woody you know, with knots and grains. But the controls/knobs are very tempting on the front.

Now that is neat...
Wood is Good, but my first attempt began to warp with all the heat, so I had to use MDF instead...

Ahh, it came together great. What about those controls, are they for sound? Mixer?

It's a little amplifier that I built myself, the controls are, from left to right. Bass, Treble, Volume and a Fader/Mixer between the Amiga Audio and one of the dvd burners for listening to CD's. :)

Jealous! Very cool.
G1200 has a little Space 1999 in it, inspiration:

I was going to build it from aluminum at first but in a tower form but it was a bit too expensive, now if I could just have that shiny beast you've got there I would be very happy indeed... :)
(ps: how do you get the pic to appear instead of an attachment, i think the pic was too big or something !!!)

WOW !!!, It's like a shrine... I wants one...

I think Amigakit has some 19" rack-mounted A1200s (and possibly other models too).
Is Motorollin' still around? He built a minimig(?) case out of lego iirc.
I used to have an A1200 mounted in a big Compaq desktop case (similar to G1200), but I created a much crappier aperture for the PCMCIA interface. Retired it when I got my first Power Tower.
Seem to remember someone mounting an Amiga inside a pizza box at some point also.

Hi Franko,
That's a very neat solution! I love my Elbox cases for my A4000 and A1200s, but I still have wires flowing everywhere.

I think that this custom C64 case is worth a mention:

Then there's the case The Daddy made for the Minimig:

Then there's my Minimig Case:

Neat stuff Darrin, but you've got the answer to all your problems sitting right there on your desk... :)
That little TARDIS would be able to hold everything.... :D

Found this real wooden one on the net from 2004 by someone called FisherKing... :)

.
It was an Efika 5200b case. Quite nice..the working media tray was pretty slick.
Though not an "amiga" - feel free to check out his Efika case in pictures (and I have a video up of his as well showing the tray operating)...as well as many other custom Efika cases on my site...

I'd like to point out that it is my son's sonic screwdriver in the photograph and not mine. :D
