Dick Van Dyke & William Shatner promote NewTek products focusing on LightWave™ 10 at SIGGRAPH 2010.
Shatner: "Dammit Dick, Amiga's Dead!"

Spooky...
I never realized that with the aid of komputers and the interweb net thingy that we could communicate with dead people... :nervous:
(they are both dead aren't they !!! or is it just that no one has told them yet...) :biglaugh:

Good to see Dick is keeping up with Lightwave all these years. Anyone here use Lightwave 10?

It's a shame they didn't let Dick Van Dyke go on for longer. He really knows his stuff and his tidbits about working with Walt Disney towards the end of the video are really fascinating.

Awsome video, hilarious and entertaining :)

I remember several years ago, reading about Dick's use of the Amiga and Lightwave. It's nice to see that he is still remembers his early use of the Amiga and is still interested interested in Lightwave after all of these years.
Bill Shatner always amazes me with the things he says. (Does anyone here ever watch his talk show? Shatner's Raw Nerve)
I liked the really impromptu un-scripted nature of the whole Lightwave presentation. It's moments like this that help me to remember that many of the Hollywood folks are really just human beings (flawed) like the rest of us. They can have hobbies and interests which don't have to include jail time or pantyless episodes as they are getting out of a limo.
Two weeks ago my son and I met a couple of actors . They both played roles in one of my all time favorite movies. It was a great moment. Both of these gentlemen struck me as real down earth people and had great stories to tell. One of these fellows said to me that he questioned the importance of his role in the film but that it was his first role and was a great experience for him. I told him that his work has brought smiles to the faces of millions of people for years and will for years to come. I said that is more than many of us can hope for. My son and I both graciously thanked him.
Sorry if I'm rambling on now...
