Title: gfx card
Post by: Wilse on November 28, 2003, 07:07:11 PM
Hi folks,

I just received a 2nd hand agp Voodoo 3 gfx card from ebay.
I swapped it for my radeon 8500 and get a blank screen.
Anyone know if this means the card is dead?

Unfortunately the only pc in the house only has PCI and the card is
AGP. I have an A1 mobo I could try it on but I need to get a case for
it first.

Hi Wilse

i'm a bit confused . . .but on which system?

 . . .and then, swap a Radeon 8500 for a Voodoo3? (even if AGP)

Ciao

@framiga:

It's a pegasos.
The Radeon does not display Pro Station Audio properly.
Allegedly the Voodoo does.

OK I now know the card works. I got a case for my A1 and it seems to
work there so I guess it must just be a pegasos compatibility problem.
:-(

After bending the metal plate, I got it to work although, somewhat
bizarrely, my modem now squeels on boot up! :-?

Anyone else ever experienced anything like this?
