Jubilations :)
We should all spend time on our classic machines today in celebration
-
I did not know that was today in 1985, thanx for sharing. Without that A1000 revel and launch the computer world would be very different today. The Amiga gave other companies new great ideas to steal. There is a little Amiga in all modern computers. Mandatory watching.

I just found this article:
http://technologizer.com/2010/07/23/amiga/
I am wearing my 25th anniversary pin at work today. (It just arrived in the mail from AmigaKit yesterday. :) )
Happy Birthday Amiga!
Edit: BTW, there seems to be disagreement on the actual date. Was it July 23, or July 24?

I looked up July 23 and 24 , 1985 on a calendar and strangely enough the 23rd is a Tuesday and the 24th is a Wednesday. Which doesn't help one bit if one was wondering if this event was a weekend thing.
I have it listed as the 24th but now I'm just confused.
in any case, Happy Birthday to my favorite GirlFriend

Happy birthday, my loved one!
Oh my god, is it a quarter of a century ago already?!?
-
Rest in peace, Jay, and thanks for all the fun.

It was definately 7/23/85 and not the 24th. This is my confirmation..from the second issue of AmigaWorld:
"Imagine yourself at Lincoln Center, New York City, in formal dress. You are standing
amidst a sea of tuxedos and evening dresses. No, you are not attending a ballet at the New York City Theatre or an opera at the Met You are attending theworld premiere of Amiga at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre.
On July 23, 1985. the Amiga personal computer premiered
with a stellar performance to an audience of press, software and
hardware developers. Commodore shareholders, members of
the investment community, computer dealers and celebrity
followers. The star of the evening was the new Amiga itself.
which gave a dazzling display of its capabilities."

Yeah.. Happy Birthday!

The Amiga's B-Day is also mentioned here.
