following this forum since some months made me want to use again my Amiga 1200 with 060 :)
so i bought a CF adapter and i'm "rebuilding" my system startng from classicWB
my old system is for now unaccessible, so i don't remember 2 little programs that i used :)
one is the programa that any time an assign is needed made a request appear and give the assign on the fly, i would be very useful now that i'm still moving stuff, until i will fix everything :)
and the other is that little program that shows a little Amiga logo in the up left corner :)
maybe i will write more for more little programs like these :)
thanks!

The first program sounds like MCP-feature "AssignWedge". The other one was familiar for me too but can't remember its name.
Welcome back btw. :)

You can find the progs your looking for 'AssignPrefs' / 'VisualPrefs' / and 'MCP' (mcp is the best one..) on Aminet.

thanks for the welcome back :)
i have also bought an ethernet pcmcia card that i never had before :)
now i'm looking for a good solution for a LCD screen.
so it was mcp... i was also thinking it was that :)
the other program maybe is amilogo that i have found on aminet... but the palette of the logos is totally broken :D

How many colours are runiing your workbench screen in and are you running MagicWB as this can affect the logo's colours.

Do you need VisualPrefs if you are using MUI?
-
i have it running 64 colors
i have installed mcp and for the assign things it is what i was looking for :)
magicwb is MUI and Magic menu, right?
i have them both, yes... and i think they are killing my colors :)

give Fullpalette a try, it works really well for keeping you WB colours in order and it works well with VisualPrefs.
you can find it here on Aminet...

I have been using it for a number of years now and it works a treat... :)
Cheers :drink:
