Title: Amiga 1000 and the Internal Floppy Cable
Post by: mistermsk on July 19, 2010, 02:51:28 PM
Hi All,

I was just wondering if in an Amiga 1000 if the internal floppy cable is the same pin configuration as an Amiga 2000? I was thinking about getting one of those SD Card readers, but I do not know if the internal cable for the floppy will work on it.

Straight through 40 pins, same as DF0: on the other Amigas, and the drives are compatible.

i might be missing something here, but all my amiga floppy cables are 34pin and are same as the 2000 basically. as for hooking a sd to the floppy, are you referring to a floppy emulator?

Correct. I am look at the SD Card Floppy Emulator (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180532244914&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) and just wanted to make sure it would work in the Amiga 1000 versus a 2000, etc...
