Apple had their iPhone 4 press conference today.
Fortunately they are offering free covers until September or you can get a refund if you already purchased one.
-
It's because of the registry!

Hardware-related problems PLUS AT&T's extant network awfulness? Not for me, thanks. :)

I hear the conference registry got all mixed up because someone who didn't work there touched it.
So not everyone got in there, and things ran real slow.

@arkhan and tone007
Why are you guys being jerks? Because of our Windows discussion in a different thread?
I respect that you guys have different opinions than me about how Windows can be imporved, but acting like children is kinda lame.

Wow. That is really saying something because the 3GS is a horrible phone. (Or, maybe that can be attributed to the disingenuous signal reporting or AT&T's network?)
As for the solution, are they working on something more permanent? I think the iPhone 4 is a really attractive phone, especially if the Verizon rumors are true. But, if I have to put a case on it there's no point. Kind of a like a super model wearing a baggy tracksuit.

Come on guys, can we not have the registry nonsense again?

INB4 fandroids start saying how much better their phones are...
@adolescent, what about YOUR 3GS do you not like? You do own one right? If not, how do you know it is a horrible phone? And you wouldn't put a case on a smartphone? Really, REALLY?

I got iPhone on the 1st so I have had over 2 weeks to try it out.
I can say that I have not been able to cause the signal to lower by gripping the phone as some have described. My hands are probably too dry and leathery :)
This is my 3rd iPhone and I think it gets the best signal so far.
I would suggest this case to anyone with an iphone4.
It will fix the problem, but more importantly it will help protect your iphone if you drop it.

Yes, I'm more worried about me dropping the phone than it dropping calls.
Oh and what about the eFuse things in the new Droid phones... I could just see some smartphone virus bricking millions of phones.
That bugs me more.

Also, according to this (http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/07/16/iphone-4-drop-calls-vs-3gs-apple-press-conference/) it is less than 1 additional dropped call per one hundred which is, wait for it, less than 1% and not %1100 more.

A Pentium 60mhz was used to do the computation.
All products are perfect.
