I just re-installed MophOS because I screwed up (somehow) while messing with the screen resolutions. Doing a mere update did not resolve those issues, so I had to do a full install.
Anyhow, now that MorphOS is re-installed, I have certain programs that used to run, but now they claim that they can not because they insist that rexxsyslib.library is not installed...
...and yet it IS!
What gives?!

The rexxsyslib.library that comes with MorphOS is ... weak.
You need rexxsyslib.library from AmigaOS 3.x, it is much more leet and works the way programs expect it to. If you dont own AmigaOS to ... uhm... leach this library from - tough luck. You can order OS3.x from the usual places.

Oh, and I forgot - when you get that... very legally obtained piece of 68k amigaos software named rexxsyslib.library, you dump it in LIBS: and then move onto MOSSYS:Libs and rename the rexxsyslib.library you have there, to for example "sillymorphos.library" or whatever.

You can download working rexxsyslib.library from aminet (http://aminet.net/search?content=rexxsyslib.library&sort=bytes).
And next time, please DON'T re-install whole MorphOS for such little problem. It isn't Windows you know. There are so many ways to get old/working prefs back when you screw them...

TakeMeHomeGrandma sent me a PM and explained the history of MorphOS and Rexxsyslib.library and set me straight!
PVC: As for the issues I'd been having, well I got rid of the net at home for the summer, I was restless one night and decided to do a fresh install instead of wait to post questions and then wait for answers. Next time, I will be patient and go that route cause I swear nothing is acting like it once did. Even programs like Show Girls that I never configured are now acting strange, but I'm sure I'll work it all out in time. Gotta upgrade to a larger hard drive soon anyhow.

BTW, remember that if you boot while pressing both mouse buttons you'll be able to choose between standard screenmodes and/or booting without startup sequence in the early boot menu.
