I assume you're going?

I assume you're going?
Yeah (been going since 93 or so). You can find me from the oldschool area at table O3 (http://sintonen.fi/pics/asm10location.png) (in case someone is coming and would like to say hello). There should be some C64s, VICs and an A500 there at least. If I'm not at the computer place I'm probably attending boozembly (http://www.boozembly.org/) or watching compos (or sleeping). :)

*sigh*
I wish I could go, but it ain't gonna happen.
-
Always wanted to go to one of these. Moreso back in the day when I used to hack and kludge. *sigh* Would very much like to see an Amiga or Commodore demo win this year!

I once attended a party, The Computer Crossroad I believe, in Gothenburg Sweden, 93 or 94.
Initially I was supposed to go with my best friend, but my parents were not too happy about me being in the town over night I told my friend I could not attend.
Then my parents changed their mind, so I called him and his mother said he'd gotten to town.
As I was assuming he was where I thought he was I went to that party, but minutes turned into hours, and hours into the next day and I never saw my friend. When I got home I talked to him only to find out he was in cinema with a female friend.
Oh did I write I had no computer (my A500) with me so I was bored the entire night ?

Your friend ditched you and a scene party for a girl?? Some friend!

Well, it was both mine and my parents faults. I told him my parents aren't too happy about me spending the night in town (they probably thought we would get in, or cause, trouble instead of really be were we claimed we would be) so I could/would not attend. Since he would then be alone at the party he decided to go to the movies with a female friend (it was not a date, just friendly company). And since all the information I got from his mother when I called back later before the party was that he had went to town (and cell phones at that time were nothing more than science fiction) I assumed he went to the party anyway. So one idiotic decision lead to the other and suddenly I was Bart Simpson in a canceled episode ! :o
-
I'll be there too, mostly sitting at the Compobase when I'm on duty.
I run the oldskool/extreme compos at Assembly.
Piru wins, I've only been to Assembly since 1996.
-
I might come there with my A500. I have neved been there and i have always wanted go but the time has always been not my side.
Oh and first message heh, lurking mutch too long :)
What position i should take any suggestions? I dont want to be alone with my Amiga. And it would be nice if some other guy would watch my stuff if need to go somewhere for moment

The party is over. Just a single amiga release (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=55576) but the party was very nice regardless.
Some random pictures:
1. ARTtech Seminars: John Buckman (Chairman of the board of EFF etc) and Peter Sunde Kolmisoppi (Piratebay founder etc) gave some really good presentations (they worked together for at least 4, great stuff) (http://www.sintonen.fi/pics/assembly2010-seminars-john-buckman-and-peter-sunde.jpg)
2. Part of the main hall (http://www.sintonen.fi/pics/assembly2010-main-hall.jpg)
3. Picture of the A500, TAC-2 and some energy drink (which I didn't drink) (http://www.sintonen.fi/pics/amiga-es.jpg)
4. Share'n'Enjoy microwave with a log containing silly 4chan/kuvalauta memes (http://www.sintonen.fi/pics/assembly2010-microwave-kitty.jpg)
5. Navis of Andromeda Software Development shortly after winning the combined demo compo (http://www.sintonen.fi/pics/navis.jpg)
I took some photos at the boozembly as well but they all turned out rather poor quality due to flash halo effect (my boozing wasn't the reason, honest!).
Random videos (from Assembly TV etc):
1. Interview with John Buckman and Peter Sunde Kolmisoppi (http://media.assembly.org/vod/2010/AssemblyTV/1071_interview_with_john_buckman_and_peter_sunde_kolmisoppi_h264_1856kbit.mp4)
2. Interview with Konstantinos Pataridis and Soledad Penades (http://media.assembly.org/vod/2010/AssemblyTV/1067_interview_with_konstantinos_pataridis_and_soledad_penades_h264_1856kbit.mp4)
The seminar talks themselves will be uploaded here later on (there are some there already, but not all): http://media.assembly.org/vod/2010/Seminars/
