Title: TCP/IP stack for OS 3.9
Post by: punkyclown on June 27, 2010, 11:02:31 PM
What is the best, easiest, TCP/IP program to use for my A1200?   I am running OS3. 9 and using a Miami demo, which is fine but it times out.  Is there one that is more current? Or is there a way to register Miami, cause I have tried within the program but no go.
Thank you

You can use either Genesis (which is included with AmigaOS 3.9) or Miami Deluxe, which you can find a keyfile if you google a bit. :)

Thanks, so where would I find a copy of Miami Deluxe?  Also could you tell me the difference between A-WebII and A-WebIISE. Since I am running OS 3.9 should I be using SE?
Thank you

AWeb stinks, IBrowse is way better, though AWeb is also included with OS3.9 on the install CD.

Also, Genesis is a good bit easier to configure than Miami (unless you have an issue manually setting the network configuration due to lack of DHCP.)

It's really time for a new IP stack alltogether.

Whatever happened to Roadshow?

@odin
Olaf Barthel kept Roadshow as a hostage when it was going to be free. Then he eventually bind it with OS4. Anyway, Roadshow was a bit crappish, just look at how it performed in early OS4 builds.

@punkyclown
Aweb SE is a limited version, get a non SE version of AWeb like the 3.5 one.

@kolla
I agree wih you 120%
