Title: 1084S monitor question
Post by: mikefr24 on June 26, 2010, 05:27:12 PM
The 1084S monitor will work with a PAL or NTSC Amiga 1200 if you use the RGB cable correct?  It is only the RF connection that is different?

100% Correct.

It may require a bit of adjustment of the vertical hold knob though - should be a breeze. ;)

The 1084 has no externally accessible vertical hold knob, nor does it have an RF input. It will sync to 50/60Hz automatically without any knob twiddling.

But the composite/LCA connectors only support PAL or NTSC depending on where the monitor was sold.

I was having trouble displaying PAL games on my old NTSC A2000, but I dunno if there was something else wrong. Most people say it works fine

Thanks guys.  I ordered a A1200 from Amigakit because I was tired of waiting for a nice one on Ebay.  The price was not much different and I get a nice clean unit.  I have several 1084's laying around and was pretty sure they would work with a PAL system.

Thanks Again!
