NewsTek Episode #9 - Loooooooooong Line
After many millions of years of intense speaking, ninja video exercises and elaborate awesome crafty editing by DiscreetFX Studio's... NewsTek Episode nine is now complete. This episode is special video one. The NewsTek Show is from the Producers of Amiga Roundtable and Carrier Whistle. NewsTek focuses on NewTek products, digital lifestyle and tech satire. We also include just a dash of Amiga to help expand the market. In this episode we cover the launch of the iPhone 4 in Chicago and we manage to sneak in some Amiga plugs and promotion for Amiga game developers.

Great show!
I tolerate Apple products (need to use them for development testing), the cult following sh*ts me to tears though. I don't own one due to the fear of turning into a limp-wristed turtle-neck wearing prancing ninny, to the likes of Mr Jobs. Nevermind the closed platform, shocking app approval process and the lack of multitasking.
Also, epic LOL @ facetime. It's brilliant how Apple can rename a feature available on mobiles for years (Video calls/Skype), add a new skin, and their fanclub will lap it up as if it's a brand new innovative feature never before seen on this planet. Needless to say, the lack of 3G support for facetime is probably due to the fact that you have to hold the damn thing a certain way, otherwise you ground the antenna and it drops its GSM connection (seriously, it's all over the news, hardware issue)
No offence to any iPhone users here of course, you're Amigans first and Apple users second :P

@CodePoet
Thanx, we were shocked people would wait in line this long just to buy a phone.

Got a working RSS feed? The above doesn't work in any podcatcher I have tried, even tweaking the ****://
Looking forward to seeing this show, I'm an old sysop and a big fan of Carrier Whistle.
Thanks!

Yep! Crazy people are everywhere . . . LOL I might wait in line like that if the phone was free, but . . . . Good video though . . . I hope they enjoy the prize at the end of the line . . . :)

You need to make a distinction between iOS and OS X, there is no approval process for OS X and the system is pretty much open, at least as open as any system on the market. iOS is closed, but jailbreakable and as of iOS 4 does multitask.
I can say I love iOS, more that I tolerate it, it's fine on a phone but I'm not sure the tablet is the best place for it. What I really want a tablet with full OS X on it.
Great show!
