Title: Was Midwinter 2 the 1st FPS ever?
Post by: ElPolloDiabl on June 23, 2010, 06:40:26 AM
I was a big fan of Midwinter 1 and 2. If you remember you are in a 1st person perspective either running/skiing or you can hit a key and climb into a vehicle or go into shooting mode. Midwinter 2 (released in 1990) has everything a modern FPS has. Was this the first FPS?

No. Battlezone came out in 1980.

Its First Person.
And its a Shooter.
And its a First Person Shooter.
And it came before Midwinter.
