Title: Software Allow PAL Games on NTSC Amiga
Post by: Super TWiT on June 21, 2010, 06:27:28 PM
I saw on this (http://www.lemonamiga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4534&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) forum (according to second post) that there is software that will show more of a pal screen on an ntsc monitor. Is this true?

Degrader (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/Degrader) will do it. Or, if you have Kickstart 3.x, the Early Startup Control menu will.

Of course, you'll still run into display issues if you don't have a monitor that can handle both.

Oh, I don't have a monitor just an ntsc tv set and an a520. So, there is no software that will help?

Check this program, it will probably help you out

If you wanted a Game disk to force the display to PAL I would check out "SwitchInstall" on Aminet,  It writes to the bootblock some code to force system to PAL!  Ofcourse you need the Fatter Agnus for this to work, as well as a PAL capable monitor.  Note this is not for original disks, only do this to copies, this even works on most disks that have code in the bootblock!  But do make a backup in case it does not work and corrupts your boot block!
