Title: WTB: eMac 1,25GHz.
Post by: som99 on June 10, 2010, 12:03:04 AM
Well, since the sellers I found near me already had sold theirs ill give it a go here.

Well im looking for a PAL version of a eMac, only the 1,25GHz versions, It must work, I do not care about the amount of RAM or Harddrive it has because that I will max out when I get it.

So im looking for a PAL version, would be nice if it's in Sweden or nearby.

Im willing to pay about 200$ and with shipping a total sum of maximum 260$.

Got one? Then write :)

//som99

Edit: I can pay either by Paypal or bank transfer.

Beware, when the screen is gone, it's gone. Gotta buy a new computer and pay to register MorphOS all over again. :/

eMacs are all over Craigslist here in the US for well under $100 USD.

Do you have a good online classifieds service in Sweden? I'd suggest looking somewhere like that, or even in newspapers. An offline sale will probably have the best price.

If your Macintosh Hardware breaks down, you can either:

1. Turn to Apple and ask them to repair it.
2. Buy a new computer and have your MorphOS license transfered to it for free.

Why would it be gone when the screen is gone?
The first thing I will do when I get it is remove the CRT monitor.
Then put a 17" TFT monitor inside it instead.
So you mean even if i put a TFT monitor inside it, it will die on me?

Well ive looked alot after one to buy here in sweden, tho the onlyone ive found with a 1,25GHz cpu where sold :/

Alright, sorry guys, I'd never heard of the MorphOS license transfer.
I must have mis-understood our last conversations.

That is GREAT NEWS!!!!!!

Now I might just get an eMac myself like I had originally planned! :)

Case closed, got my hands on a Mac Mini for a bargain price! 95£, well atleast where I live it's a great price, it's the 1,42GHz version tho without a PSU, but that I found a brand new retail 85W one for 25£. So that's fine for me.

So as fast as possible ill put MorphOS on it! Tho the PSU is out of stock and not in stock before 21/6 :(

Good luck with the 1.42Ghz, it may or may not work... Let us know if it works.

A honest mistake ;)
Tho can anyone tell me for sure if a Mac Mini intel 110w adapter is compatible, I cant wait for the 85w original PSU since I do not know how long the price of MorphOS will be down at 111€.

ive looked into it and they seem pin compatible but ive heard people say it works and some say it do not work :S

When I get the machine up and running I will dualboot OSX and MorphOS just to test out Payback and compare speed and versions just for fun :)

edit: im quite sure the Mac Mini has a DVI-I port and if im not wrong thats DVI-D with a few extra pins for the analog signal, so a DVI to HDMI adapter should work and I can use this beast with my LCD TV :) Can anyone confirm if im right and if anyone has done this under MorphOS, I do not know the supported resolutions on Mac Mini in MorphOS

Update: I could not wait for the 85w PSU so I just ordered a 110w and I hope ill get it this friday, ill tell you all if it works or not. over and out.
