Title: Is there any viewer, or browser to view amiga *.info icons under, linux?? (not UAE!)
Post by: voytech on November 25, 2003, 12:07:32 AM
Need some help! I downloaded few ami icons archives, but don't know what to do to see them under linux. I don't want to use UAE. I'd like to use them (*.info icons) for my desktop icons (*.xpm's). Is there any soft that ould convert *info files to other image formats like jpg, gif (I'd convert them then to xpm's). I tried with AROS, but it got crashed during reading directory containing icons - wanted to make a snapshot and rip out icons that i like. Anyone got a clue?

Take another look at uae for Linux.  Richard Drummond has just made some HUGE improvements in it and it is now quite useable.  Plus, you can probably use ksnapshot to grab the icons (haven't tried it myself).

Very odd, must be some strange bugs triggered by non-perfect icons. Would you send the incons to me, so that I can find out what's wrong?

Thanks.
