Title: A thank you to Kim Lemon
Post by: Amiduffer on May 30, 2010, 07:09:25 PM
I don't know if she's/he's(??) on here, but, I thought I would say thank you for the little tutorial on installing and setting up WinUAE. It was very helpful and worked perfectly.

http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemonamiga.com/help/tutorial_1/3.php

also, I found http://guide.abime.net/map.htm

which was just as useful, especially in setting up P96.

I would also like to thank Kim Lemon because he created one of my most-used Amiga sites! Although the Hall of Light has more game entries, the fact that you can vote and leave comments for every game on Kim's site and the links to possible download sites makes it a little more useful when searching for games. I also love how none of the screenshots have horrible 24bit watermarks on them, although I totally understand why they needed to do this with HOL, their screenshots were being stolen and published by commercial magazines without giving them any credit, which they now do with Lemon Amiga's screenshots (you can sometimes see "KIM or LEMON" in the player name or high score tables in Amiga/C64 screenshots in Retro Gamer magazine).

That's good to know. I was confused at first. Here in the States, guys are very rarely ever named Kim, at least from my experience.

I've known two in my life, which is really a lot here and both come from Native American ancestry :)   And yes, his site rocks!

Another dual gendered name that comes to mind includes Carroll (O'Connor, Archie from All in the Family).

Pat (Patricia) is another. Same with Tracy, Taylor & Tony to name a few more :)
