My 'other' computer is a Macintosh, more Amiga-like, and I don't feel like as much of a sell-out as most of you Winderz losers, oppps- users....
I typed Amiga into the search site form on Apple's website and got this:
http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2003/08/tonyhawk4/index2.html (http://www.apple.com/games/articles/2003/08/tonyhawk4/index2.html)
Pretty cool!
Am I the only one on the planet that did NOT know this?!?
-
i knew about this and i was one of them who sent a fan letter and asked if he could do anything to get tony hawk 1 or 2 to the amiga..
never got a reply ;(
lets hope someone else does so soon....i really love theese games on my ps1/2.

Well-
I've got THPS4 for my Mac, and it is a great game!!
It would have been great to see 1 or the better 2 on Amiga though!
.....crap, crap, crap, crap, crap......
-
imho if tony hawk said like... hey why aint there an amiga version of theese games ?...maybe that would make em consider it :)
ah i dunno...its quite a while since i wrote to him, and heh tbh i dont even think he would be interested in such anymore and we dunno if he was anything more than ...just another user...
anyway when we get os4 and mol(moaos4 maybe? :D) i will most likely be happy enough for the time beeing...

Well I actually wrote to him the other day about the Amiga. We will see if he responds. The subjuct was amiga computers so I am sure he will read it just to see.

Yeah, I remember about this time last year there was a thread started about this I belive. I mentioned that there was an article in MacAddict a year or two back with an interview with Mr. Hawk. He spoke very highly of his 'Miggy and I think he was a heavy Video Toaster user back when he made his skating videos DIYstyle. I'm sure he gets hammered with emails so I doubt he will even see it..he probably has a media relations department or something that filters his email...but nevertheless I hope you get a responce.

hmm :)

hmmm i think you shud try and get a market before u make such vibrant requests

Yep, Tony Hawk was an Amiga/Toaster user. He was actually featured on an early Toaster 4000 brochure. Also, a quick search on google found this (http://www.macworld.com/2001/11/macbeat/profile/ ). (It seems he was forced over to the dark side... ;-) )

Hey maybe we should write a petition or something..
-
Ergh, no.
Tony Hawks is just a terrible game IMO. It simply plays like sh**e. No 3D 'snazzery' would ever get me to enjoy this one. Most games I can sit back & watch someone else play, this makes me leave the room... This & all those wrestling games.
We need games like Burnout 2, Metal Gear Solid, Worms 3D (Actually not bad you know), Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Virtua Fighter (Why not make it the whole series in one pack), The Shenmue series (Come on, compile the 2 together in preparation for part 3) Monkey Ball 2, Ratchet & Clank 2, Splinter Cell...
Okay, I'm pushing it a little, at least Tony Hawks could be half a possibility I hear you say. I'm just pointing out that it ain't all that. If you agree lets not just make do because there's nothing else. After all, that's why we have Amigas. It's all about the quality.
Oh knickers, I'm off to give them all a call, ask if they'd mind recompiling them to run on OS4.
Opinions here are the express views of FuZion, you may or may not agree, this is not an attempt at starting a flame war, he just doesn't like Tony Hawks ;-)

We don't need any of these games. And if you're talking about games that will increase the Amiga's publicity, obviously we want the games that come out in the future, not ports of games that have been out for a while (okay there's been some new ones mentioned, but it would be months and months before ports appeared). It makes me cringe when some PC user has a go at the Amiga's 3D capabilities and the best defence we have is Wipeout 2097.
The games will come after the fanbase increases (if indeed it does increase) and the chances are that if Tony Hawk really gave a crap, he'd still be using an Amiga.

I'd like to see Rainbow Six on Amiga. I LOVE that game. :-D
-
Hey! Do you remember how it was with Mortal Kombat II??
I personally knew few PC fanatics and Amiga haters, who sold their PC's, and consoles to buy A500 or A600, only to play MKII ! This was the time of my triumph, when they saw MKII on my A500, and decided to do this :-D
I think, such a game would change position of future Amiga..

Q: So that was how you got involved with the Mac. How did you first get involved with computers in the first place?
A: Just doing it in high school. I really took to it, and I really enjoyed it. I bought my Amiga because you could play Marble Madness on it. That was a video game in the arcade, and I saw it somewhere being played on a computer. And I thought, "That is the computer I have to get."
Q: Is this before or after the 1984 release of The Bones Brigade Video Show?
Wow! There were Amigas BEFORE 1985? :-D
