I've had my eye on that for a while. Very exciting!

I just wish these companies that jumped to Windows and other popular platforms to survive, would at least make nods to the Amiga within the games. Maybe a Boing ball here or there, or an interactive Amiga 1000 within the game in vein of DOOM III, something.

That would at least put a smile on my face.

I agree, A nice brief history of the game would be nice.

Couldn't find any videos for this game anywhere, but it's interesting that it looks like a rip-off of SEGA's Alien Syndrome remake for the Wii/PSP considering the original was a kind of similar to the Arcade original :)

I suppose in the grand scheme of things a few 10,000s of various Amiga games sold don't amount to much for these companies today, and possibly none of the original staff from the time of the Amiga games are there now. Then again if they had mentioned the Amiga at least as a homage to its roots that would hit a positive response from 100,000s of people who played it ie pirate copies and original!

Seems cheap enough but doesn't Steam require a constant internet connection to allow validation of the game each time you run it?

Just played the demo via Steam,  Really quite enjoyable, looks the part to. More fun with a joypad im sure, but still not to bad with Mouse & Keyboard.
Quite temped to buy it when its released as its quite cheap. £11.69 pre-purchase

Amiga and the whole original AB team do get a small mention in the credits..
Aly Brimble also is involved in the music again... which is nice!

Ah OK might give it a whirl then seeing as Sega aren't really fussed about the PC market any more.

I tried the demo, didn't like the controls. The Original Alien Breed had much more intuitive controls.

Anyhow, I can't test it till I re-format, which I'm not looking forward to. :/

As an alternative, try Shadowgrounds:

Both are loads of fun. I completed both games on the hardest difficulty setting and tried to only use the handgun (which is masochistic, but very rewarding!)
