Title: awnpipe...what is it?
Post by: golem on November 24, 2003, 11:17:26 AM
Clicked on my DOSdrivers folder in Devs and there is a driver for AWNPipe. I don't know what its for and would like to delete it if its not being used. Help?...

A security hole.

It can be used to execute programs using *path name* and returns the output through the pipe. I'd recommend not to make it available to the system.

So on my Network of Amiga's I could execute a command line program, that would execute on a remote machine and get the result back on the machine I'm working on...

That's cool :-)
