Hi everyone
I have a small problem running Breathless AGA using WHDLoad. When I try to load this game, and one or two others it would seem, I get an error. It comes up with 'error during 'resload_LoadKick' invalid kickstart image 'devs:kickstarts.kick40068.a1200'
What can I do to cure this. I have just put in 3.1 Roms and still get this error.
Thanks

You need some unencrypted rom image files in a folder called Kickstarts (under devs )
You can get them from your actual machines using grabkick (or similar), or you can get them other places using other tools... (like PM's)...

Can I tell WHDLoad to use a rom image that works with the other games? If so, how do I tell it to do that?

No, you either do it the right way or keep whinging about it until someone offers to send you the files illegally. Seriously, with all those Amigas in the list in your signature, it's too hard for you to run a small tool and get the files you need from them?

http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/GrabKick (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/GrabKick)
Run this utility on one of your machines that has the required kickstart version, rename the image file as appropriate and plonk it in the appropriate directory for WHDLoad.

Until such time as the owners decide to re-write them, the forum rules still apply.
As Cammy observed, it would seem Amiga Fun probably has the kickstart he needs anyway. He just needs to "relocate" it. To disk, that is.

Valid point.

you need this too :

http://www.aminet.net/util/boot/skick346.lha
and it's legal :p

Hm, I never realized RTB files were required for WHDload... I'll have to check to see if I have those.

Blimey, just logged back on and it seems I have been flamed for asking a question. It's all good for people who know what these error messages mean, but for those who dont, then I think a Forum such as this one here is the right place to ask. Sorry to offend anyone.
@ Cammy, I am not whinging about the problem, it was a normal question. This was the right place to ask I hope. Why would anyone want to send me files illegally? I have not asked for them. They also don't know me at all, I could be anyone. Also, thats why I bought new, a set of 3.1 ROMS for the Amiga 1200 in question, because I thought that was the problem. As you rightly say, I do have a few Amigas and it's not too hard at all for me to run a small tool to get the files I need...Now I know what WHDLoad is wanting I can do just that. Thanks for your help
