Is there an easy to set up alternative to Tools Daemon? One that works with Scalos or Dopus Magellan II perhaps?
-
My friend, if you are using AmigaOS 3.9 you can use T.H.E. which is OS friendly, unlike ToolsDaemon. There is a version that is included in the Contribution drawer on the AmigaOS 3.9 cdrom. If not http://aminet.net/util/wb/THE.lha

I'm removed OS 3.9 until I get my 060. What is T.H.E. I don't see it on the CD?

Check the link I posted above. :)

Both Magellan and Scalos have configurable usermenus.
-
Dunno how I missed that link. So I'll be checking out both that and Scalos tonight.
Thankx!

Check the preferences editor and the tools menu in the picture attached.

Just installed Scalos, now I boot to a WorkBench with a Mouse Pointer and no Icons.
EDIT: Fixed
Edited User-Startup, commented out anything related to Scalos
REplaced LoadWB from one on 3.1 disk.
And now I'm on to try out T.H.E.

I'm going to stick with Dopus Magellan II after all. Somehow I forgot that it had that feature and was so easy to configure.
One problem though. When I am creating a drop down menu I have been copying the icons of the programs I want to launch over the Prefs box, but what ever reason, WHD Games will not launch.

It has everything you need ;)

Maybe because WHDLoad icons don't have actual exe file causes something... One option which surely works for them is to use wbrun command to launch them. Like this in dopus function editor: (AmigaDOS) wbrun games:whdload/game1/game1
