I just downloaded WinUAE 0.8.22, Release 9 but cant see any options to get it over 68040.
Is there a way for UAE to emulate 68060 or PPC amiga?
Whats the fastest that anyone has gotten an Amiga Emulator on the PC?

the 060 is, from a user point of view, just a fast 040... no PPC emulation has been made yet.
My 3 Ghz machine gets 928.47 MIPS in WinUAE with the JIT on.

That you can emulate a faster hardware doesn't mean that the emulation will be faster. So there's no point in emulating a 060 since all programs are available for a 040/020 as well. It won't be faster because a real 060 is faster than a real 040.

Is that all? My mates AthlonXP2800 (2.6GHz IIRC) got about 1200 or so :-?

The AthlonXP is superior to the Penium4 :-)

A useless figure. All you're testing is the speed of your memory bus, not the CPU, since JIT caches the instructions that are interated again and again in the test.

As opposed to a real 68040+ processor with a decent instruction cache which does what, exactly?
Also, the emulated instructions still do the same job as the they would on a real 68K so it is naive to say it is simply a memory bus test. A memory bus test would consist of endless x86 mov commands. The transcripted code (on x86) is nothing like that.

As much as I love my P4, I agree the Athlons are much better. I only got the P4 because I got a good deal on it :-)

You people DO NOT know what you are talking about!
The A2000 PROFESSIONAL COMPUTER is much SUPERIOR to a mere pentium 4 running uae.
:-D

Did we NOT see this coming? :-? Speaking of, I haven't seen Doomy around lately. Did we scare him off???
I hope that his 2000's didn't get 'drafted' for the 'war' on Iraq.
;-)

I think he finally took the hint ;)

God, can you imagine if he himself was?
In basic traning,
Doomy to gunnery sergeant : "You DO NOT know WHAT you are talking about! I have personally owned and used EVERY WEAPON since FLINT KNIVES were first used!
Anyway, as I was trying to TELL YOU, the M16 is not MILITARY SPEC! It does not have the PURPLE CERAMIC BODY and GOLD PLATED TRIGGER of the much nicer M16HD..."

lol, I should go back and read older posts more often :-)

Doomy posts over at amigaworld.net net now as Amiga2000King.
He's also getting acused by some of ripping people of on A2000 parts / failure to complete deals / bad ebay transactions.

Yeah. Hes not yet exhibited quite the level of, what was the term...'wankerishness' that he has here.
Yet.
