correct, also fixed those buble-helps to trim strings up to
100 characters, otherwise they don't open on certain screenmodes.

* There seems to be some strange issue coming up since os4.1.1 from
the Gnutella plugin, in a try to get rid of it we've removed some
global variables usages which may or may not was causing such
issue(s)... after all that was not so system-friendly/legal...
* Following the above explained Gnutella changes, we've done the
same for the Ares and OpenFT plugins.

* Changed the way version check for 3rd part libraries/classes

not contain the Execute bit, causing problems under OS4 - Fixed.
* Each first search query is not properly inserted on the string's

You can download it from http://sourceforge.net/projects/amigift/files
NOTE: Remember you can download the archive AMIGIFT-deps.lha in case you lack some of the required 3rd-part libraries, you can find it in the 2.0 folder.
For further details on how to get started, please take a look at the website (http://amigift.sourceforge.net/) and/or check the online documentation (http://amigift.sourceforge.net/docs/)

Will check it out later.
Edit: Looks ok. Demo seems to work. Some changes needed to splashwindow and chat. They still think this is the v2.0 release.

Hello there, Thanks for the feedback.
You're right, i've completely forgot to update the "2.0" image from the splash (welcome) window :o) the chat topic has been changed now, i still need to change some image on the website as well.
BTW, This is not a "Demo" release, it's a fully functional program, but with less features a registered user have :-)
Best Regards.

thx for the update!
what's the difference to the regged version? I recall something about torrent support, is it working?

Ares seems to work, but the others don't, although they're activated.

This could be the same history as always regarding network nodes, a read of the Maintenance section (http://amigift.sourceforge.net/docs/?chapter=Maintenance) could bring some light.. try to keep your nodes files up-to-date by using the Online Updater. (this is commonly needed if you didn't used amigift for a while, and well those nodes on the 2.1 distribution are one month old already)
That said, are you sure your router is properly configured to accept connections on the ports amigift uses? it's quite strange you was unable to connect to Gnutella, since this is the most accessible network.
You can try the 'Check Ports' feature, from the Tools menu.

Features only available to registered users are noted on the docs by using the image: (http://amigift.sourceforge.net/docs/images/error.png)
You can also run GiFTMui on your Amiga and compare the front-end look to the one shown on this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUlGUxPIQm8) and you'll notice most of them there.
BitTorrent support is not yet complete (http://amigift.sourceforge.net/docs/?chapter=Core+Components) at time of this write..

I did connect to gnutella, but only after changing the port number. The port number set as default is wrong, so i changed it to the one shown in the html.
Edit: Now OpenFT seems to work. Only with a small number of users (about 120).
