I have a 2000 with a pretty scratched up metal case. The top case that is a light beige. What I want to do is sand it down and spray paint it with a matching color.
Suggestions?

If you want quick and cheap, take it to Home Depot and hold up spraycan lids to it to match the color.
If you want a better match and durability, look for an automotive paint shop. You might also get lucky at an auto parts place in the touch up paint section, but I don't think there are too many A2000-colored cars running around.

I've always liked the way that Amiga's look when painted black and upgraded with black faced drives, keyboard and mouse.
That might upset the purists, but its different.

Auto body paint looks *really good* on computer cases. Strip the paint off and sand it down. Find a small auto body shop and usually you can get a guy to pain your stuff for next to nothing with left over paint and it will look really nice.
