No reasonable offer refused! Domestic deals & sales preferred, but international trade always an option when it makes sense. I'm always after A1000 peripherals and am currently seeking a multi-sync Commodore branded monitor in excellent shape if anyone can help me out (1942/1950/1960).
A2090 SCSI card
A2088 Bridgeboard w/ 2 5-1/4" floppy drives, boxed and complete w/ disks
A500 side expansion cover
A500 keyboard (some keys do not work, suspect switches just need cleaning)
A500 users guide
A500/A2000 Kickstart 1.2 ROM
AmigaOS 1.3 Enhancer manual
A1200 HD bracket
A2000 rev. 6.2 mobo w/ acid discoloration (not damage) - works 100%, but missing Agnus
A2000 keyboard, for parts only (some keys are off, but I believe they can be found, might be 100% complete and working)
A2000 power supply, works 100%
A2000 internal floppy drive
...shoot! Anyone local have a case? I've got enough here to "build" a complete A2000 system, or hell... might just end up putting it into an arcade cabinet ;)
A2500 front bezel (see pic)
A3000 2.04 Kickstart ROM chips
A3000 Zorro Daughtercard
A3000 front bezel (see pic) *might be spoken for
GVP 3.5 SCSI chip for accelerators or their Hard Cards

Sorry, I know this is not the place to ask, but I saw you sold your 2060 and now I see A2000 disappeared from your sig altogether. Did you get rid of it completely (I suppose this is not it) ?
-
Correct - I have since sold my 2060 and A2000. Realized I didn't need all that power, when all I mostly do is screw around with the hardware, tweak the OS and play the occasional game. The day I ever decide to get a classic Amiga back on the 'net though, I know I'll regret selling the 060 :(

A cheap '040 like the 3640 is almost as good (and a good deal better than an '030,) I've used '030s, '040s, and '060s with IBrowse on RTG machines. The only thing you'd be missing is some additional RAM which AmigaKit has a solution for.
The '060 is obviously quicker, but an '040 is definitely usable.

I really don't believe I am going to bother with an 040, but if I did happen to run across a 3640 cheap, would it fit alright in an unmodded A3000 case? No fan issue? The other A3000 I had, someone cut the floppy drive cage all up. I assume that was done because it had an accelerator of some kind in it...

It'll fit, no fan though unless you find a REALLY thin one. A bigger heatsink should take care of it though, I made one out of two smaller heatsinks when I had a 3640 in a 3000D. The 3640 I had came with a heatsink that was too tall anyway, so I ended up having to go shorter and wider.
edit: or a blower fan alongside the heatsink could probably work...
