Disksalv on Amiga - Only thing that could help you after a virus or write error.
E UAE - a bit more user friendly than WinUAE
Napster - That was pretty impressive

Blender (2.49b for modeling, and 2.5 Alpha 2 Super Optimized With Everything build for most other tasks)

Even though the list is full lets not forget JDownloader (http://jdownloader.org)

Quite a few just on Amiga, I was fond of the BBS dialer I used to use, can't remember it's name however.

I suppose I'd better add my fave Amiga progs... :-)

I suppose 90% of classic Amiga apps are now 'free' in one way or another...

Here are my top 3:

1: DirOpus 4.x     - Can't live without it...
2: Personal Paint - Never thought that DPaint could be beaten, but it was... :-)
3: AudioMaster   - How much it taught me about sampling and (mucking around)!

ImageFX 4.0 ~ got it free in a raffle at AmiWest1999
Lightwave 4.0 ~ it's free with the VT software 4.2 and Toaster dongle
I know thats' not what ya'll had in mind....

PC:
Tribes2 ~ Became free in May 2004, originally released and purchased in 2001.
WindowsXP ~ Included with the HP hardware. heh
Apophysis7x ~ Fractal generator.
