Hi,
I found a Vidi Amiga, downloaded some software, plugged in a video source and A.C. adapter and it keeps showing a "no interface" message. If I unplug the AC adapter it shows a "no power" message. Am I doing something wrong (no instruction book) or is this thing dead? Thanks

How is the vidi connected to the Amiga? AFAIK it was through the parallel port
-
Yes, the parallel port. BTW the software I downloaded was labeled "Vidi Amiga(12) rt" but I think it's the same (correct me if I'm wrong).

Not sure. See if you can find 24 RT software, as the hardware was different: 12 bit capture versus 24 bit, and the resolution was different as well.
-
I haven't been able to find one that listed for the 24 RT, but I think it's just a difference in the amount of RAM in the 12 RT & 24 RT.

I have one of those Vidi 24RT digitisers.
No interface means it cannot detect the Digitizer on the parallel port
Here you can see what was in the box when you bought one:

Note all the stuff is labelled 24, there are no items labelled 12 (at least for me that was the case)
I wonder if you have the wrong software and that's why it doesn't recognise?
-
The software might use a different-or differently named device driver or library for the 12 and the the 24,-see whats installed in devs or Libs, look for soemthing with "vidi" in the name. if it also says "12" in the name, maybe just change that 24?

You're not using an A1000, are you?
-
That unit in the picture is the exact one that I have (right down to the "PRO" sticker). You wouldn't have an ADF or DMS of that disk would you :-) ?
Tension: No A1000, I'm using my trusty A1200.
Stefcep: I'll see if I can find any "24" named drivers.
Thanks

I would also really love it if someone could provide a DMS or ADF of the VidiAmiga24RT software. I have one of these units myself, but I'm afraid the floppy disk is full of mould from the humidity.

I'll see what I can do for the Maple and Mould consortium :)

That's the DMS and the manual, taken from a backup CD.
I am hoping that DMS isn't protected, lemme know if any problems.
-
Well, that did it. Your version 3.2 software recognized the hardware where my version 1.? didn't. I even printed off the manual. Thanks X-ray and everyone else who helped.
