Dear Amigans,
We are happy to announce the AROS port on Sam440 is now fully up-to-date, and will stay updated.
From now on, AROS updates are usable immediately on Sam440 through the nightly builds available on AROS website.
Get your ISO and use AROS now:

awesome news!!! looking forward to triple booting OS4.1/Debian and now AROS on my Sam...great fun indeed :-)
-
Pretty cool for Sam owners :-)
-
Very cool :-) It does make me wonder though, what if a customer wants a Sam to use use as a ppc linux and/or AROS machine rather than OS4.x? Is it possible to buy the boards without OS4.x ? I'd like to be able to test software ports Ive done for ppc AROS,... cross compiling isnt a problem, but it's not much fun relying on other people to test your software for you.

@fishy_fiz
You could try a Mac Mini G4 running hosted version (but don't use YDL as it crawls)
-
But what sw works for the ppc version?

@ Elwood
The boot up cd load up nicely but my mouse movement is dead slow maiing the system unuseable ??
few questions:
1- can I boot up AROS with the new slbv2 that came with Update 1
2- what files system should I use to format my AROS partition? it currently has SFS/02 on it
-
I had a quick go of the live CD. From what I could see, my mouse didn't work at all. I haven't had the chance to stuff around with it enough to see if I can get the mouse to work or not yet.

my mouse is working fine now with the first boot option on the CD....if i try loading up the AltUSB option then I have the mouse issue.
At the moment, I'm trying to install and boot up AROS from a USB stick....i get to the point where the installer sees my USB drive but it keeps telling me to reboot??

Sounds like a Posiedon issue.

No, you need to install Parthenope on the disk RDB.

SFS0, as SFS2 is OS4 only.
