Title: Help read Mac img file
Post by: ElPolloDiabl on April 13, 2010, 06:08:20 PM
No luck on Mac sites.
Can anyone tell me what (freeware) program I need to open or use a .img file on Mac? I Have OS 7.6 68k and OS 9.1 PPC on virtual machines.

Is it a disk image or a picture?

Wasn't there a specific tool for mounting disk images? I can remember using stuffit to expand compressed image files and then mounting them as disks somehow.

Disk image file.
There is a couple of programs for OS X that mount the files, but I need something that works with OS9.1 or OS7.6.

Use Disk Copy. You can get it here : http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60353#English
