Many users have asked us if we could offer a poster with an X1000 theme like that from the Amiga Future cover 83.
Your wish is our command.
So we have created an AmigaOne X1000 poster for you. A preview image and other associated information can be found on our homepage.
Details:
Size DinA1 (approx. 60x85 cm)
135g paper
glossy
UV coating
Offset print
This poster will be available in limited numbers from our printing service, and available in either rolled or folded format via our homepage or other associated Amiga retailers. To estimate the demand, and to ensure everyone gets a copy of this poster that wants one, we have started a pre-order promotion.
The pre-order for the poster is available until 15. April 2010.
Shipping starts late April/early May.
We ask all interested readers to make their pre-order as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment.

This is an age old sales tactic used to create the illusion in our heads that a ton of people are looking at this new machine as the future of Amiga, thus instilling a sense in the mind of the bandwagon crowd to jump up on the wagon before it's too late.
I'm personally more excited about MorphOS, the hardware is cheaper, and the OS is faster.

Maplins are selling identical looking cases to that in Black or White for just £25 in the UK :)

I agree, this Amiga X1000 is so expensive and is nothing better than my windows machine, why should I buy one? its going to go the way of the Amiga One dies within 18 months. It will maybe sell a few hundred boads to die hard hobbists. I dout I'll ever see one in pc world , currys or comet here in the UK LOL that would a beautiful dream , but a man can dream :)

Hey guys, have you ever heard the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"?
No one is forcing you to buy the poster, and for those who enjoy the look of posters covering their boring white walls, this is great news. So the X1000 might not be the revolutionary masterpiece that the original Amiga was, but at least someone out there is trying to keep the dream alive.
There's no way I'd ever be able to afford the machine, but one of these posters wouldn't look too bad on my wall!
Thanks Andreas, I've never seen someone work so hard for a community that constantly belittles their every effort. Your determination and dedication to the Amiga platform against constant negativity is inspiring.

A poster pre-order? Thats a new one. I've never seen so many pre-order systems in my life outside this community. Also I wouldnt sell posters for something that isnt available yet. Having said all this i'm sure they will look kick ass so good luck with it.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the machine succeeds, the hardware specs do "sound" interesting, but we'll see. Hopefully some coders get a hold of a few of these machines and realize it has that special something about it that you just can't do on other hardware...

Doesn't anyone else think its funny that they can't show a mouse or a keyboard on this poster because they don't even have ONE mouse or keyboard finished yet?
I'm glad for the posters and stuff, but I think its too much hype before they even have a full working/completed prototype, you know like WITH a mouse and keyboard.
Its like HEY! the case is done, we can make a few bucks selling posters showing off the case. No really, please wait until they actually have keyboards and a mouse at least.
Maybe this computer really is revolutionary and requires no mouse or keyboard, and the jokes on me.

Apparently, most of you here don't want new stuff or anyone to succeed. Small market equals small product runs, small product runs means premium pricing. Simple economics.
Also, since noone is posting on topic and it's well into page two. Let's end this.
