I'm doing this on my 128 and can get interlace RGB with no flicker on a modern LCD TV. Doing this with an Amiga should be easier than the 128. The adapter costs about $37 shipped, and that is about the total cost if you solder a connector to the wires yourself. This cost is assuming you have a modern LCD TV at your disposal.

For the Amiga you can already get one from www.amigamaniac.com (http://www.amigamaniac.com) for around $35.00AUD and it doesn't require a power supply and gives excellent results!

I've got two. They're real and they're spectacular..!

Oh, I didn't know Nathan was making this! For that price and turn key, you can't go wrong!

Nope, it is great, using it on a 19" widescreen TV 1440 x 900 display with built in dvd player & hd tuner (paid $250AUD for the tv).

I use Nathan's S-Video adapters on a few Amigas here too, they're the best! I get a flicker-free high resolution Workbench on my LCD TV for a fraction of the price of a scandoubler. I made a video demonstration of the adapter a while ago, browsing the web on the A1200 in 1376 x 536, with a rock steady display: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kaz6fNpHYIg
Here's a photo of my A1200 browsing Amiga.org using this adapter through another LCD TV: http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=3152
The only problem is I'm not sure if Nathan has any in stock at the moment, and when people see there's no stock, they leave the site without enquiring when new stock will arrive. This gives the impression that no-one is interested in them, and so there's less chance that a new batch will be made any time soon. What anyone who wants one needs to do is send Nathan an email or sign up on his forum and tell him you're interested in his awesome hardware.

Hey Cammy Good to see a young female Amiga enthusiast.
That A1200 we pretty zipp on the youtube video. What's the spec on your configuration.
Nice music.

@ redrumloa
I would certainly be interested in such a device for both my C128D and two of my amigas.
Given then way most LCDs buffer and upconvert a ntsc signal anyway this solution makes more sense than a flicker fixer. Plus much cheaper.
Plus if redrumloa sales them we can get it in the states much more easily.

I'm in the US and am a repeat customer of Amigamaniac's. Always been a breeze buying stuff from him, including one of these S-Video devices.
-
I'm in the US and had no problem at all with Amigamaniac's adapter.
Both delivery and function have been great.
Definitely a happy customer.

I see the board has RGB-HV, but no I for the 128?
Ah, I see it in the 128.org thread, I -> 680ohm ->>>RGB. Interesting.

Ppl. like this are what keep Amiga alive...
-
Good news,
I got a email back from Nathan, he's still in the biz and says I'm on a special list , hope that's the right list...

@Cammy
Does the adapter work ok with Total Chaos AGA? (Hires PAL Interlaced)
Any glitchiness in the gfx?
Any flashes?
How about the sharpness, are the small fonts still readable on S-Video?
-
I emailed for three, running A1000 with DCTV 24 bit interlace images flicker free will be sweet.

Hmm, interesting, I could take the s-video out of this and feed it into a capture card on a pee cee, yes? Wait, do they even have a capture card with a s-video in ? Well, how could I use this to record the Amiga in s-video quality?

Tv Tuner cards do sometimes, mine does
-
BTW is there a technical reason that we have not seen an RGB to component video (red green blue) adaptor or cable. My LCD TV has no s-video.
-
I have written him too...

Got my reply in 24 hours, I am on the list.
