Title: XAD 7-Zip plugin - 68k PPMd test release
Post by: chris on April 03, 2010, 12:10:48 AM
The 7-Zip plugin for XAD (UnArc) has been updated.  This version incorporates the official PPMd decompression code from the 7-Zip SDK.  This is the first 68k release which supports PPMd.  It has been made available for testing ahead of a full release, as the PPMd decompression only appears to be working for BCJ2 processed files.

This is a TEST RELEASE only, available as an update.  There is a small chance of unexpected problems.  For documentation, stability or the OS4 version, download the latest full release (http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co.uk/download.php?file=xad7z).

Installation:
* Download 68k test release (http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co.uk/ftp/amiga/7z.lha)
* Unarchive into libs:xad

Please report your experiences with PPMd compressed 7-Zip archives in this thread, and any bugs.

Enough for the compressed archive plus the uncompressed file, and a small amount extra for decompression workspace.
