Hi guys,
this site has become my second home...
STILL trying desperately to get this A600 working properly... Finally had success (allbeit limited) with WinUAE and my Amiga HardDrive.
So now I just really really NEED a copy of the Workbench 2 install disk. I have 3 Amigas, original software... yay legal... but no Install disk for wb2 (despite having 2 machines which run it!)
Searching the net for an ADF of it, it is blindingly obvious that Workbench 2 is the forgotten ugly sibling. Plenty of 1.3 roms and workbench adf's for retro gaming and plenty of 3.1 roms and workbench adfs for AGA top of the line Amiga stuff...
If ANYONE has a copy of the Workbench 2 install disk (adf or otherwise) can u please email me? I thought I could get around this by just copying files to floppy from current installs... but the torture just has to stop!
Thanking you in advance,
Redwarrior@amiga.org

You don't need an install disk. For setting up the hdd use HDInsttool from Aminet and then just copy the contents of the floppies to your hdd. Workbench and Extras into the main directory, Fonts, Locale and Storage each into its own directory. Be sure to copy all files (e.g. use the Shell or Dopus or similar).
Bye,
Thomas

@RedWarrior,
I have the original System Software - 2.05 so, if you're wanting a copy of the original Install disk - email me with your postal address.
Its funny how hard it can be to go back- the last time that I flipped the Kickstart switch, on the A2000, to 2 and booted . . . . I couldn't believe how ugly the PicassoII Display of 2 was!
. . . . been running 3.1 & 3.5 TOO long I guess!
(and I sold-on my A600HD model)

I have a full set of OS 2.04 disks.
I also have 2.1
Better still, I'm in Melbourne too.
I'll be at the MAUG meeting tonight, Moonee Ponds Senior Citizen's Hall in Kellaway Ave, Moonee Ponds from 8:00 PM. I'll bring them along in case you see this and turn up.
David.

You need kickstart 37.300, if you use 37.299 it won't work... That's WB 2.05 instead of 2.04
