haven't seen any other posts on this, but older Comp users will get a blast out of the interface. And for those who only knew Amiga, it's also fun to learn how things were done back in the day!
FUN game!

Ok, you all are probably avoiding this post be cause the name looks like some kind of crappy porno ad, understood.
But seriously, the creator went through ALOT of pains to make this game seem like you are going through this mystery via an old computer system starting with nothing but a modem!
The interface is right on, and the pace is misleading as your feeling of security is slowly pulled away from you and your abilities move from greenie to ubber-hacker!
Lots of FUN!
Oh, and :BUMP:

The title reminded me of one of my favorite 80's retro_computer_chick flicks: Electric Dreams :)
I'll have to check out the link though some other day. In the middle of drinking-cooking dinner-and drinking... lol

That's no chick flick, that's serious entertainment. Anything with Giorgio Moroder and Philip Oakey collaborating on the soundtrack is hardcore.

I'm into some beers too, love those colors though. I'm going to have to try this out.

I don't know who those two are, but I've always liked Boy George and Culture Club. Love is Love was a great tune. Oh and Virginia's still hot I see...
Sorry for the off-topic J-Golden, but she's too sexy NOT to post :)

Phil Oakey - Human League
Giorgio Moroder - did a bunch of soundtracks, one of them being Neverending Story (I believe)

Oh wow, good stuff - big thumbs up!!

New Wave Music. Hmmm. How I don't miss much of the 80's, ha ha! I'll stick with my Kraftwerk and early Skinny Puppy. :)
I'm going to check out the movie for the story. It's got a girl and old school computers, you can't get any better than that!

While I enjoy Techno-punk music, like New Order, and even some Trance. I have to admit that New Wave music was rather good, and I still love some of those 80s catchy tunes.
From time to time I love listening to Cetu Javu`s "Have in mind" (the extended version). New Wave at its glory! :)

He also remastered Fritz Lang's Metropolis back in the early 80's... simply *AMAZING* (if you can find it).

Was Brian Eno considered New Wave?
I always dug him and the talking heads.
Oh ya, and Ministry's first album was what I'd consider New Wave! Hilarious, but actually quite good!

Ok, so you connect to the BBS and get some messages, so what?

It's a REAL game!!! the story line builds very, very well!
No near-naked women or laser beams. I JUST finished the game and it get so engrosing that at the end you know what you need to do, but can't bring yourself to do it... :(
Again, don't let the simple beginings fool you. this game has depth and story that finishes with a twist ending that makes you go, "Whoa! that was cool!"
AND, several of the music tracks are done by some well-known MIDI composers ;)

I'm stuck in the game!

Can anyone post some screenshots from this game? Is it text adeventure? There is so little information about it.

I'm stuck in the game!
I got stuck a few times too!
What got me is the message system (no e-mails yet) every time you get a popup box saying you have a new message, check your mailbox, not the BBS boards.
Also, there is alot of info in the messages, download them all! And make sure you reboot after getting the Amie Workbench update (save first).

I'd clasify it as a text adventure inside a GUI enviroment....
the only typing you do is to log into different BBSs and ARCNETs. When you reply to messages, you do not type anything but recive messages that are informative enough to know what you said ;)
sounds weird?
No sir, what's weird is that 9 out of 10 times your "reply" is exactly what was on your mind :D
