Title: Problem with IDE cables and interface
Post by: Gulliver on March 18, 2010, 10:43:21 PM
I have found that when trying to connect my DCE bufered IDE interface, I cannot do it because the female IDE conector at the cable, has one pin hole covered.

So I guess I need to bend a pin, am I right? Which one should I bend?

Please have a look at the picture, it is self explanatory.

Use a different non keyed cable or remove the key if possible then no bending required and if it doesn't work just swap the cable round.

The cable is keyed on both sides. I will try to see if I can remove the key.
