Title: Amibench
Post by: scuzzb494 on March 13, 2010, 11:20:22 AM
Hi

Does anyone have a stored set of files showing the format of the Amibench site when it existed. Or maybe a contact name. I want to put a small tribute on the website and I can`t find my files... Annoying.

Amibench was the best! I loved how they had an Amiga client application that ran on Workbench that could access and update the website as well as making it accessible from the web (and other OSs). It's a shame this system couldn't be revived and instead was replaced with a forum (AmiBay) which has compatibility issues with Amiga browsers.

Yeah, it was a good site but it had its flaws.. it used to fail sometimes.. and it had no control over who offered what... I was scammed there for around US$500... fortunately paypal was able to recover most of the money... so, we do not have a website that is completely compatible with amiga browsers however it's much better and secure to buy from, personally, I prefer that.

Cheers Cammy,

Amibay is not exactly a replacement, it is built from scratch. Just the main idea is the same.

It's not just Amiga browsers!! It seems to have issues with both my Amiga AND Windows machines. I just gave up - To much else around.
