Title: Can Microbiotics M1230 XA run Blizkick
Post by: punkyclown on March 06, 2010, 07:17:10 PM
Hi, I want to know if my accelerator can run BlizKick, when I start my computer with BlizKick in my startup sequence it says it needs MAProms.... Not sure what that is or do
I just have to reset the jumpers and can someone tell me which jumper?
Thanks.

Thanks for the quick shut down.... Okay next question, my accelerator is 33 mhz, could I easily swap that out for a 50 mhz chip?
Thanks

your best be is to get the 3.1 roms so you no longer need to run the memory ultiliy and I think if you get a faster CPU and matching crystal you're good. I used to have the 68030 50 cpu and 68882 cpu version.

It's best anyway to have kickstart 3.1 as you don't have to add the memory anymore that you need to add under kickstart 3.0, the 3.1 does this automaticly so no extra lines will have to be added to the startup-sequence. Also don't forget to add 128 Mb, that card is great for that kind of stuff :)
