Title: Greetings, Greetings one and all.
Post by: zappadog on March 06, 2010, 02:37:18 AM
Quite a while back I adopted an A1000 that I found crying and all alone in the back of a Salvation Army Store. After paying the obligatory adoption fee, I took the little guy home, washed him up and plugged him in whereupon the waif wouldn't stop whining about wanting to be fed a kickstart disk. Unfortunately, I live in a town where The Family Guy passes as sophisticated humor, and American Idol is the most intellectually stimulating television ever :bitch:. Can someone sell me a kickstart or some other software just to find out if the old orphan is worthy of more than a trip to ebay?

Zappadog. As you now own an amiga computer which originally came with a kickstart and workbench you are legally entitled to both.  I am sure someone from the States with a 1000 could help you out for postage.
I dont have a 1000 and live in Oz.  Bit far for postage.
Update your locale and repost. I'm sure someone could help you out.

Good luck and welcome to Amiga.org.

@Zappadog - welcome! Guessing you're a Frank Zappa fan, as am I and since you mentioned the bit about lack of culture and intelligence - can just about conclude that yes... you too, live in the Midwest. lol

Looks like I'm going to be making a trip to the post office early this week, so if you still need an A1000 Kickstart disk, drop me a PM with your mailing address and I'll put together something of an A1000 care package for 'ya...
