Hmm let me just hover up the cash stuck under the sofa cushions. :roflmao:

Oy Vay! Looks like he might have a sticky '9' key ;)
-
And just think, that's in pounds! That's heavy...
-
"I am really looking for good and sensible offers, as gaining an appropriate and fair selling price is tricky."
Yes becuse £1,999.99 is about as sensible as it gets. *roll eyes*
Not to mention I have actually seen this game on eBay in the past, though must admit not that often.

Speaking of pounds (thought I'd ask here since there's lots of UK users), when someone mentions a Stone, is that a certain numbers of pounds like Tons is over here?
And yeah, I wonder what that single offer was for. £1?

1 stone = 14 lbs here.
We also have a slightly different measurement of gallons in the UK too.

I'm going to offer them $20 and see if they take it.......

We're in that weird stage between metric and imperial. We weigh ourselves in stones usually, but everything else in grammes/kilogrammes, same with distance, roads in miles, but everything else in metres/cm/mm, we measure beer by the pint in glasses and by the litre in bottles.
Most things are metric here now though, with the above exceptions.

This might set a record for stupid human tricks on eBay.

Hight of objects and people is in feet and inches.

Yeah people tend to be, but objects I measure in meters. Maybe it depends when you went to school, I was raised in the late 80s/90s, we were never taught any imperial in school at all, just metric from 1984 onwards.

He does qualify it in the text with
"As this game has not sold on Ebay or been available any where esle for quite sometime I am really looking for good and sensible offers, as gaining an appropriate and fair selling price is tricky."
Does Ebay allow a 'make offer' only option? I suspect he has done this knowing it won't go for that amount.

Is anyone doing a "retarded Ebay auctions" feature anywhere?

One way of sorting this RareOmatic ebay fools is for someone to call "Captain Slow" to make a tv program about 80's computers and get the BEEB to buy the CD and use it as table coaster.
Job Done !
;)

LOL!!!
I was actually going to do something like this for a laugh!
But it looks like this guy is actually being serious.
Haha.

Kudos to Acorn for what they did, and how.

so this is what ? a bit over 2 british pounds per kilobyte of data ?
Or did the CDTV version have extra stuff?

What about this lovely A500 bargain (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AMIGA-500-vintage-computer-TESTED-AND-WORKS_W0QQitemZ250583951106QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a57f7a702) to run this game? Of course, you need the A570 (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/a570) to do so...
Or maybe you want the real thing (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/amiga-cdtv_W0QQitemZ260559335837QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_VintageComputing_RL?hash=item3caa8bf19d)?

It seems to have some extra screens added (at least one) certainly not 2k worth value. If it had enhanced play it would be rarity, but on on 68k CDTV I doubt it.
