Since I installed my Picasso II in my A4k with Picasso96, my OctaMED Soundstudio setup is screwed.
Everything is played twice as slow, the screen moves slower, the samples play slower. Pretty strange.
Halving the sample rate in mixing settings helps, but this means i'm halving the sample rate which isn't good.
I don't understand whats going on, as the setup works fine when not in a Picasso screenmode. I thought GFX cards were meant to speed things up, if anything.
Anybody recognise what's going on here?

There's a jumper on that PII board for segmented memory when used in an A2000. Perhaps that's to blame? (the jumper next to the RAM chips)

You are probably running in VGA mode normally. But when you switch to a gfx card mode, the Amiga output is switched back to PAL.
Now the Amiga audio chips can sample up to 56 kHz, but only when the video is in DblScan (VGA) mode. In PAL mode audio is limited to 28 kHz.
There should be a setting in Picasso96 to switch the native display to DblScan while the gfx card is used. I don't remember the name, though.
Alternatively, when using AHI you can use the command
addaudiomodes DBLSCAN

Set env variable "amigavideo" to 31 kHz IIRC.
