Title: Amiga blizzard/apollo 040 problems
Post by: JACK98 on February 15, 2010, 09:01:48 PM
Recently i took my A1200 out of storage and wanted to try and use the blizzard 030 card, but for some ungodly reason i could never get it going right*hence reason it was left in storage!*,it would be fine for few seconds, the crash,or do a continous reset, now i have suspicion could it be the following?-

card ram faulty
my motherboard revision, its an 1D1 with the timing fix
faulty card
Heating issues?

my A1200 is in its case,i have an goliath/A500 psu to spare,so if anyone could help to solve this age old mystery i be greatful.

It could be a PSU issue (if your not using a Goliath), however sounds to me that it doen't like your RAM.
My 1230 did this when it didn't like the installed RAM (was working but obviously just a bit fussy).

Unlikely to be heating issues, especially if problems are occouring that early.
