Title: a500 problems
Post by: mistaplaya on November 16, 2003, 12:50:12 AM
Hi Y'all,

Just new here. Today i saved an old amiga 500 from going to the dumpster. I've always loved playing the amiga. Got home and hooked the amiga up to my tv through a scart cable. The power goes on and the red light burns, it also reads disks but all i see on my tv is a white screen.
Does anybody know what the problem could be.

Please let me know, would love to play rick dangerous again

Sounds like a problem with Denise or something else in the video generating area.
A surprising number of odd faults can be fixed by reseating all the socketed devices inside, as these can become intermittent over time.

If you have an A520 modulator you can generate a composite video signal, just in case there is something wrong with your SCART cable?
