That's why his eBay login is "retro-storage" and not "retro-sales."

That's more than I paid brand new for my 240MHz version in 1999!

This is why I'm know longer into classic Amiga hardware.... These guys probably think they will get these prices for this stuff.

I 2nd that. I do still go for it but got no new hardware for Amiga in a good while now.

Great example of someone thinking ZOMFG RAREZORZ! And think because some are going for alot of money one assumes he will bunch up any random numbers and thinks he will sell it for 'that' price.

It's stupid but buyers are more to blame.

Seriously...£400 for Shadow of the Beast.....I think not. I have the same game box here, the only exception being we actually used the t-shirt, so it is a wee bit faded now. But there is no way on this earth I would pay that for a game.

It means "used" in French (i.e., une voiture d'occasion - a used car), and I'm guessing it's a literal translation from other languages and possibly an obsolete usage in English. It's weird that US eBay even allowed it as an option/didn't localize it. Weirder still that the more-correct "Used" appears elsewhere in the listing.

Maybe his wife's making him sell things but he doesn't want to get rid of them: "Sorry, honey, it just didn't sell. I don't know why!"

I am getting the smell of a "Carousel" type fraud with some of these auction values.

on ebay Seller A - Sells to Buyer B etc (invoice 2nd hand goods, no tax)
off ebay Seller A - Sells actual value goods to Buyer B - New goods sent as Ebay sale.

No cash is transfer but receipt is generated which is used to avoid tax on goods which were sent with that value. e.g modern hardware etc.

Man, if people were willing to pay that much for a game in its box, I'd have pirated less games when I was a teenager.

i wonder what happened to my old copies of Space Hulk and Alien Breed 2....

I know a guy who really wanted the Shadow of the Beast T-shirt.  He made an offer which was nowhere near the asking price and got laughed at by the seller.
