Dear Friends:
I was just looking in amos my old code for my free/aminet game 'wizard of the orb' (wiz.lha)
and realized it has so much potential to become a great amiga rpg game.
I think it will be great to make a sequel, with different story/pictures, but using the main code as an engine. The game would be the sequel to wizard of the orb. Also, the code will be rewritten to expand the game experience (improvement of the whole game: like extra spells/monsters/artifacts/weapons and armor/etc etc.)
I would love to make this game sequel...because I loved creating the original game.
The game will prob not be finished in time for the game competition...it will take me lots of time to create this rpg fantasy.
I have a question:
Would you love to see a new fantasy rpg game like this to be developed ?
Thanks !!!

Yes! Amiga adventuring, wether It is text-adventuring, graphic-adventuring, or role-playing-adventuring, will always be wellcome! :-) I see you have been considering this sequel for almost a year (http://amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=40703). Perhaps you could make a playable level for the comp and then finish the game later.
I hope you finally decide to go for it! Btw, never played your wiz before, going to take a look at it right now!

Hi:
My link to the game in the page is gone, along with the website.
The original game is on aminet on game/role: wiz.lha
Thanks !!!

Go for it! :)

Yes! RPGs are still the best games, IMO, even if we have so much less time to play them than in our younger years!

I think yes.
Do you still have the address to your old site? Try plugging it in at http://www.archive.org and see if any of it survived and was saved there.

Speaking of text adventures...I've noticed lots of online games that feature text based adventures, some of them really reminded me of the old school games i used to play back then...
