Ooops, broken link. Remove the final colon and slashes.
By the way, interesting news...
Let's see how much of the operating system is freed...

Guess they figured they'd better do something since iPhone and Android have taken over the smartphone market.

Let's hope other software giants, such as Amiga Inc., Haage und Partner and Hyperion, do the same :P

Andorid and Iphone no where neat taken over the smartphone market.  Not even close in units shipped.

I heard today Android is not now classed as linux, something to do with drivers tacked on instead of in kernel ??? not sure if its true or if that the reason.

I really think google havee ballsed up android with their disaterous launch of their own phone.

Symbian has chance to really do something now... There again Maemois pretty impresive and has the chance to make a wave or 3

My only experience with Symbian was a very early one, the Nokia N-Gage (tacophone.)  I won't be trying it again, I'm happy with Windows Mobile.

N gage was awful.   Latest N95 etc not too bad.  Its not just Nokia that uses it, though they  do own it now.  Samsung use it on some of their phones
