Can anyone suggest a manufacturer of a CF PCMCIA adapter that is Amiga compatible that is NOT the one sold by Amigakit? Alternatively, can anyone suggest another easy method of transferring data between PC and Amiga?
Thanks

I can recommend this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390132245676&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Of course, if you have a wedge case Amiga then it's not for you.

The OP wants a PCMCIA one, not IDE.

Oops, sorry :(

You should try and keep an eye out for a PCMCIA Multi-Card Adapter, so you can use SD as well as CF.

CompactFlash PCMCIA reader for 4.91USD (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23791)
Multi-reader (5-in-1) for 7.46USD (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23720) flash memory cards reader. Works with Memory Stick, Pro Duo, SD (but not with micro-SD in SD adaptor) and MMC cards.
Notice that the prices are with free postage, but the site postage is slow. I had to wait for almost two months to my goods arrive.

This is as good a place for this as any...
D'oh!!!
I got my PCMCIA - CF adapter. Got my old CF card (512M SanDisk), finally took the cover off of tee PCMCIA slot on my laptop...
never been used...
and..
(you figure it out yet?)
Yep, it's NOT a PCMCIA slot. It's an Express Card/54 slot.
As I said, "D'oh!!!"
I think I'm OK, as my printer has a card reader, and if that doesn't work, I can get a CF card reader easily enough, but..... My Homer S moment...
Now I just need to find the "any key." ;)
