2 amiga 2000 computers with 040 accelerators (Speed / type unknown), both with video toaster 4000's and mac emulator boards. One has a Picasso 24 board.
I can get both for 300 bucks tonite. Condition working but otherwise unknown. Memory, etc unknown. Both have 3.1 OS.
Is this a good deal? Anyone interested in one? I dont need both!

With 040 accelerators they are worth it, hopefully local pickup for you.
-
Where you at, dawg?
-
Akron, OH, local pickup, I dont really need all of it but he won't break it up. Just seeing if its worth the money or not.

Sounds like a fair value. You can break up some of it to sell and recoup some or all of your investment and keep what you want for yourself.

One of the '040 boards is almost worth the asking price.

If they are working 040 cards and reasonably good models, yeah you can probably get a quick $150, maybe more on eBay for one of the 040s.
-
No talk of the toasters?
-
The VTs you find in A2000s are generally the early models and not terribly sought after.

Actually he did say they had Toaster 4000 boards. If they are Toaster 4000s, they have some value. Even then Toaster 4000s aren't fetching too much these days compared to even a few years ago.
-
..I'd be happy with $50 for mine!
Not really too viable professionally anymore, the analog video stuff..

@ Bill
hell ya it's a great deal just for two 040 cards which can fetch a decent price on Ebay anytime

I wouldn't say that, the college I go to has a tv studio that makes the VT2000 look like the impossibly distant future. Yet they insist they bought it all nine years ago.

You'd be crazy not to grab that bundle, if it is what is says it is.

Remember to check if computers still booting.
After bought, remove the top cover (4 screws on the sides and one more at the back of case) and check the batteries! They are located at the front of the unit, a bit to the left of the mouse/joystick/keyboard connectors.
Those are prone to leak and destroy traces in the motherboard.
