Title: Squirell SCSI Problem
Post by: soulboy on January 20, 2010, 01:50:14 AM
Hi I have been using my Squirell scsi successfully with my 1200 however in an attempt to install the scsi drivers to a OS3.9 emergency floppy disk I seem to have broken the installation on the my hard drive. I have reinstalled the software to the hard disk several times and still the any disks inserted into the cd-rom are no longer recognised. There are no errors during boot up or when I put a cd-rom in the drive. Any ideas ?

Also I would like to install OS3.9 to a different hard disk however when I boot from the emergency floppy the cd-rom drive isn't recognised. I managed to install the squirell software  on to the floppy and copied the squirell relavent parts of startup-sequence from my hard disk to the floppy but still it doesn't work. I think its using the wrong driver I will add the exact error messages when I get home later.

Yeah that 3.9 installer is buggy as hell, unless you install it in a plain A1200 with a simple accelerator.

I'm having a lot of issues with it as well at the minute.

It used to be so easy.

Well its not the installer I think unless its supposed to come with squirell drivers. I think I am missing something to make the installer use the squirell driver.
