Title: Benefits of XMOS chip on new amiga mobo
Post by: koaftder on January 18, 2010, 02:02:52 AM: It's hot man. Hot. The XMOS chip is a hot sucker. I've got an XS1-G4 dev board. Granted the specs for the mobo are for a single tile XMOS chip. A good side benefit of having a pile of them would be a space heater perhaps?

It's a neat chip though. The development tools are nice and the documentation is good. It's a lot of fun.

I won't be buying the new hyperion motherboard, but I will be using the XMOS chip in my embedded projects.

(and by hot, I mean temperature hot, burning hot. Hot like it would suck to use the quad core chip for portable apps)

Oh man... I'm gonna have to do it. Build a shield around the chip and put a little egg white on it... Fried XMOS eggs.
